IBE delivers a streamlined user experience perfect for their members' needs

The Institute of Business Ethics (IBE) was established in 1986 to promote high standards of business behaviour based on ethical values. The IBE is an important partner to any business wanting to preserve its long-term reputation by doing business in the right way.


The challenge

The IBE’s website had a limited CRM function that was no longer suitable for their business needs. The organisation wanted to be able to offer a comprehensive self-service membership experience that satisfied both businesses and individuals alike.

This included ambitious goals to grow membership through improving key membership services, including hosting events, targeted emailing, a fully working and flexible online shop. On top of this, the IBE wanted an easily navigable knowledge hub and the ability to tailor web content and user journeys. 

The IBE had greatly outgrown its old website and required a platform to better serve its ever growing and diverse membership.

The project

ReadyMembership has provided IBE a modern, easy to navigate website full of features that are advancing their purpose and communication:

IBE networks (groups)

IBE uses the ReadyMembership groups module to manage their four business networks. Once logged-in members of the networks can join in online discussions, read documents and book events. Admins manage group membership

Events & Training

An online events calendar lists all the IBE’s events & training. When booking online users are prompted to login or create a free online profile. 

Knowledge Hub 

A searchable library brings together all the IBE’s free resources on topics ranging from anti-bribery & corruption to treatment of employees 


Publication shop

The online shop gives business people the opportunity to buy the latest hard copy and digital publications from the IBE.

A single view of supporters

With fully trackable user data across their website, the IBE team now has a clearer understanding of their members’ needs. Email opens and clicks, purchases and booking history are also captured against each member’s CRM record.

Content Targeting 

The new website offers extensive opportunities for innovative personalisation and content management. The ReadyMembership rules engine enables the team to target different types of content at different supporters - online and on email.

The perfect event management platform

IBE holds a number of events throughout the year - both virtually and face-to-face. They are able to manage their events through the Eventfolio tool. This also gives them the ability to host webinars through their website thanks to the Zoom connector.
